Munich Re is pleased to share with you our RE Con (Reinsurance Reconnaissance) Report. This is a valuable tool for Group Underwriters, Actuaries, Administrators, Account Managers and Claims staff.
The RE Con Report gives Group Insurance Carriers ready access to data about layoffs and business bankruptcies as they underwrite prospects, renew cases, reconcile premium, forecast premium income and manage accounts. Munich Re’s RE Con Report puts all that information at your fingertips in a business analysis tool that is easy to use.
This report is an Excel spreadsheet database with two main tabs:
- U.S. Layoffs
- U.S. Business Bankruptcies
This is a searchable database and includes all significant U.S. Layoffs and Business Bankruptcies that have been publicly announced in the last month. We consider a significant U.S. Layoff or Business Bankruptcy to be an action that affects more than 200 employees.
The Munich Re RE Con Report provides you with the following Key Summary Data for each company announcement:
- Business Name
- Location
- SIC Code
- Number of Employees Affected
- Date of Announcement
- Effective Date
Munich Re also provides you with a link to the news article reporting the announcement, if you want to do further research.
This database will grow over time, and you can search by company name for any announcements by U.S. employers in recent months.
Munich Re is committed to adhering to the letter and spirit of antitrust laws. This report is designed solely to provide general industry knowledge.
